Beth Sar Shalom Brooklyn was launched with an Erev Rosh HaShanah service on September 24, 2014.
The inception of the congregation coincided with the opening of Chosen People Minsitries’ Feinberg Messianic Center in the Midwood section of Brooklyn and met a longstanding need for an English-speaking Messianic congregation in the most heavily Jewish populated borough in New York City. Prior to launching the congregation, the leadership and a small core group met together for over a year to pray, strategize, and worship together every Friday night in Brooklyn. From those early days, a strong sense of unity and dependence on God’s guidance and provision has remained. One of the primary goals and purposes of Beth Sar Shalom is to establish a healthy Messianic faith community where Jewish believers can grow in their faith and where the Gospel message of Yeshua can be proclaimed in a Jewish setting. All of our programs, events, and services are structured in a way to meet that goal. Looking to the future, we hope to continue on this trajectory and increase the congregation’s impact for the Kingdom in Brooklyn and beyond.
